Originally called Monastrell in Spain, Mourvèdre is most often used as a component in Rhône-style blends. Since our vineyard produces such a great quality Mourvèdre, we like to showcase this somewhat obscure variety on its own. We have done the aging for you with this 2010 Mourvèdre which shows aromas of white pepper and thyme. The flavors have softened, leaving us with black cherry and integrated tannins. This wine is ready to drink now and would be a great addition to a roast chicken or any charcuterie board.
